Nova-Rus concept art
« on: November 17, 2010, 08:35:55 PM »
We've bought the rights to some existing imagery to merge into our Nova Rus faction for G.O.T.  (As such you may have seen the originals of these images elsehwere already)

These are the original images which are going to be slightly re-worked for the final concept art that will go to the sculptors starting in January 2011.

The Nova-Rus faction is technologically advanced (TQ ~ 6 - 11)  but prefers to use proven technologies over bleeding-edge tech. It is the leading industrial source for advanced robotics and bionics and as such utilises a lot of such devices in its military with an emphasis on heavily armed and armoured troopers with heavily augmented humans forming a substantial part of its military.

The images below show the standard line soldier followed by a heavy AE-trooper (All Enviroment) and the Extra-Heavy Komodo armoured suit.

Of these the line trooper will be getting tidied up a bit removing some of the clutter, the weapons will be unifed throughout the faction and the remainder will pretty much stay as-is.

We're hoping to have the first of the Nova-Rus figures available for Salute 2011.

What is Nova-Rus?

I like the third one, but they don't look particularly Russian to me.

Change that "DAVIS" to "DAVIDENKO" (in cyrillic) and that suit is Nova-Rus (as far as I understand what "Nova-Rus" is...)

Also, is it just me or is that 3rd concept a little too MaK-ish to be free of legal hassles? On the other hand, the mecha style is always more or less a variation on some common concepts, so it might not be a big deal after all.

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

The heavy armoured suit looks amazing!
Is it just me or does the line troops look rather top heavy?

You had me at the first picture. I really like the look of these guys. Will make for some excellent ultra-modern skirmishes.
