Miniature ID Please
« on: 18 November 2010, 12:24:55 AM »
The Slug and I were doing some tidying this evening and fallen behind a pile of boxes we found a bunch of painted miniatures. Oddest part being they're not ones we painted, or even bought, and we've no idea where they might have come from. They've been there for at least a year, perhaps longer, and had suffered only slight damage. We're wondering whose range they're from so thought we'd tap into the collective wisdom here.

First of all Cowboy #1

Cowboy #2

Big Robot and Winged Daemon

WWI German and his chum

Two Natives

Nosferatu

Any ideas? Thanks in anticipation.

p.s. Save your typing finger and don't bother claiming them as yours... we're not that gullible and you're not getting them back - so there!  >:(

The cowboys look like West Wind Cowboy Wars.  Can't tell you which ones, though - but the sculpting style matches, plus the combination of foot and mounted figures.

The WWI German is from Renegade - the grenadier, anyway.  Don't know his mate.

The cowboy's horses are Old Glory sculpts for sure - so West Wind sounds about right.

As the other said, the Cowboys are from Old Glory. The WWI German (figure on the left) is from Renegade while the figures on the right is actually a Confederate ACW figure also from Renegade
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Well have sorted a good hoke home for some of these, the cowboy in a neo-bowler hat will end up in our VBCW forces as he's the only bod on a horse we've got, the other will be decently based and become a gift for the chap who runs our local games shop as he's working on an Alamo project and slug has his eye on the Pickelhaub German. The big figs I'll flog but if you know anyone who wants the now-rather-limited-selection of ones left then Robert is most definately your mother's brother.

 :)
