Another Zombie and Survivor post. Updated 16 Dec 10
« on: November 23, 2010, 01:03:54 AM »
I started this project as a game player and terrain maker.  I usually find painting tedious and have to force myself to work.  Generally my models end up as tabletop quality.  Saying that I have been enjoying the living hell out of my zeds
I started practicing on some GW and Wargame Factory Zeds.  I would not suggest them unless you have a real tight budget.  I tried several different skin tones and the only one that I really liked mimicked the box art on the classic Zombies board game.  Here is the plastic filler horde.

I liked the Hasselfree zeds but they are pricey for what they are.

Here is one box of Studio.  Absolutely love these guys.

I have a bunch more that are waiting for the table.  Some that need to be stripped due to a bad coat of primer.
These are from Eolith, and I ordered them on a lark.  Absolutely the best sculpts I have seen.  Unfortunately these are the only three they make.  All I can say is they need to make more.

Here is a mix zombies from other manufactures.

The majority of my completed metal horde right now is from Victory Force.

Here are the survivors that I have completed to date.

I have some more, but no photos yet.  Hope you like.

Where's the appropriate smiling emote face to answer this one? lol

Good pun too, did you let that one fester a while or did it crawl its way over to you? :)

Who makes the zombie goat?
Could not tell you.  I got it out of a discount bin at a game store in Phoenix.  Half of the card backing was ripped off the back of the blister and apparently that was the half with the manufactures info.  It came with the Zed in the mixed batch that has the club and the hang mans noose.  I have tried looking around the inter-webs, but have come up short.

This project has been on the back burner for several years.  I just dusted it off and polished it up.
Thanks for the feedback.

For the photos, I still have to work out the kinks on the lighting.  I am trying to hit 150 zeds with as few duplicates as possible.  I am at 110 with only nine repeats in metal.  Thanks for the compliments on the paint job.

Thanks for the compliments.  I have another twelve on the table right now ready for the final bit of gore and base painting.  Will post those with my zombie dogs when I get a chance.

Nice work Snitchy.

I'm up road in Phx.  We're always looking for other players for our Zom games.

Thanks.  I have also found another player here that is working on an identical project.  Scheduling is always going to be the issue on this end.  04:00 start at work with rotating days off.  Keeps me in metal.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I am now up to 110 zeds done.  I have another 50 waiting to be painted and another ten survivors.  Here are some of the completed ones.
Starting off with Studio:

Now some dogs.  All from Wyrd:

Some more mixed:

My survivors are suppose to be a pretty eclectic bunch.
Troop 341

And the rest.

Just a quick post so I am going to get.
