Pulp Figures PHP8 Safari Into Danger
« on: November 27, 2010, 07:41:46 AM »
Just completed. The notorious 1926 Castelgnac-Clairefontaine entomological expedition along the Oubangui-Chari.

Starring sponsor Gonzague, Baron de Castelgnac (a.k.a "Appelez-moi Gonzague"), famous entomologist Prof. Aristide Clairefontaine, assistant André Gabillot, guide "Tiger Bob" (a.k.a "Robert Lambert"), and courageous Miss Adeline Clairefontaine, daughter of the professor.

Criticisms welcomed, as well as improvements tips.

They look really nice! I've thought about these miniatures but have never come around to actually buy them. But yours sure make me think about it again. I really enjoy your little presentation as the little lead guys become instantaneously individuals by naming them and hinting at a connecting story. Are you going to share some of their exploits?

I really like this set of figures (to be honest I liked all Pulp Figures I’ve seen "in the flesh" so far)… Anyhow, It’s a very nice paintjob you did on them too 8)

Sure, I'll try too, when I have enough painted figurines and terrain. But I am so slow... My aim is to follow the tracks of Tsune (wonderful inspiration there http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=21399.0) with my limited talent.

Excellent stuff! Fine work on the butterfly net.

Actually, that was the easiest part. Vallejo Blue Grey Pale (MC 70905), black ink and black wash.
