GW/Vallejo sepia washes - help needed

ive seen some pics of these 2 washes and was wondering does anyone have them and could they post a pic of them both on a white mini side by side for comparison ? its for something im planning on and ill be using quite a bit of sepia wash

If you are going to need large quantities of it you might be better off mixing your own from an acrylic like Liquitex (available at most arts and crafts shops). I have a few bottles and tubes of various sepias and umbers I use for that purpose and they go a long way.

I agree with Aaron; making your own washes is both easy and cheaper.

Les Bursley of "AwesomePaintJob" has a nice tutorial up on you-tube:



But you can probably mess around and find what works for you quite simply.

Basically, you just need some clean water, pigment (paint or ink) and acrylic medium (matte, satin or gloss). Everything else you add to the wash mix is just bells and whistles!

Oh, and do remember to write down what you mix as you go, since you might want to re-create it at a later date. Getting a match between different batches is dead easy if you have the recipe scribbled down.
