When we played High Octane I had an urge to try to make a 'gang' of Special Operatives: supercops in supercars from the Dark Future game. I made a list with only four models and two heavily armed supercars. The list didn't work out very well as I generated far too little income with only two income-generating models, but at least my guns were rightly feared 8)

Of course, more important than their game performance was their look, and you can read all about my converting and painting in the Combat Zone Chronicles:

And for your viewing pleasure of course here are the pictures:

Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Very nice, I like the gloss on the boots and the visors. The cars look really nice, but next to the water company vehicles they look like they could do with a little uparmouring, but I think that would have compromised their sleek look, difficult choice.
The super cops look the business, there's one where the plastic arms don't quite line up with the torso, but in general they're great conversations, and the guy with his helmet off really does look like Lungren lol

Road Marshals are cool. Nice color scheme. I like your work on the cars especially the water merchant cars and the BMW have a great post-apoc feeling.

Brilliant! The Road Marshalls are vey cool - very menacing - and the cars look great.

Just when I thought I might be able to postpone my interest in Post-Apoc car wars and finish some Old West stuff, this comes along!

Seriously, though, lovely work.

up untill I saw this post I was thinking I'd never buy those cop models.  I really like the head swap it gives them a totally diferent feel imo.

Thanks all!

hubbahubba> you're right about the shoulders, there wasn't really a perfect fit so I had to bend the plastic in shape and hold it until the glue set, I guess it set a bit in the wrong place 8)

The cars are indeed rather low on the armour but I liked these models so much I didn't want to change them. I really did like the idea of throwing a bit of order into my Post Apocalyptic mix, but then again I was browsing a lot through Dark Future at the time, which has a wastelands vs. civilisation (if you have money) setting.

The cop model is indeed great to use as a basis after you cut off the arms and head, I think I need some more 8)

I like this lot. They look quite intimidating.

Which EM4 cops are we talking about?  I found the trooper heads but the bodies?

Hi Pil,

Those cops are all the things previously mentioned, sleek, shinny and above all menacing. They are truly great conversions.

All the bodies are from the same figure:

0049 Cop Hero. Light Assault Cannon Ref: 0049

The new EM4 site doesn't seem to have any pictures but it's basically this model, but with a machine gun in his right (for us left) arm:

As mentioned in the article cutting off the head and arms is fairly easy and what's left is just a standing body with two legs, it could hardly be easier 8)
