Feudal Japan Diorama - Christmas Pressie for the wife - Done!

Evening all - thought I'd post a few pics of my work in progress on a diorama I'm making as a Christmas present for my dear wife!

Fiddled around with E-Z-Water for the paddy fields - not looking too bad I don't think - any tips on how to repair any scratches they might receive in the final stages of completing the thing? Don't think the static grass will stand up to the hot air gun I've been using - or maybe I should have put the grass on last...  

Got one more samurai to finish painting and then need to attach them - would have liked to clip off the bases but the legs are so delicate it'll be a right pain - think I'm going to have to blend the bases in with miliput which might look a bit weird but I'm sure she won't mind!





Still waiting for the geisha mini who will be the center-piece - she'll stand atop the hill with this samurai gazing up at her...

Time is getting a bit fine now...  












Any other tips, hints or offers of geisha minis that can get here in the next two days are more than welcome!!

Small suggestion... A few tall weeds between the road and the paddy field wouldn't go amiss, just in a few choice locations and a bit more undergrowth around the sakura and you're done 

My wife has a rather bad virus at the mo so no chance for a translation of the poem in your last thread. I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

Joroas - nearly went for that geisha - presume you meant the one that comes with the townsfolk? Instead I bought from Taban miniatures - they've said its been sent and that was a week ago - fingers crossed it'll get here in time...

Sorry to hear you're wife's not well James - no worries if you can't rustle anything up - there's always the old google-fu to fall back on!

I was toying with the idea of some longer weeds - I have some straw coloured stuff but thought it might look out of place - think I'll give it a go though.

Damien -I can sympathise! I had to do some rather speedy googling on samurai armour to figure out how to paint them in a month as I knew next to nothing about them before I started - hair-raising stuff and that was just for three of them!  Can't wait to get back to my nice simple Orcs now! 

Can't claim credit for the blossom trees though - they're from a great company called model trees - think there's a link on the thread I posted in the How To section.
