I'm busy building a few elements for a Ronin table (Samurai skirmish, 16th century), and I'm actually tracking small pieces. I bought stuff from the Kensei line (stone graves, baskets, etc.) but I'm still looking for a few good lanterns. I spotted Armorcast and JJK ones, but the delivery is simply too expesive. So I was wondering where I could get my hand on some of those things in Europe ?

Anyone's got an idea ?

Ishidori stone lanterns?

Hovels has them in their line.

Here's a reasonably close picture of one of mine:

Thanks maxxon, I checked it and they're really unexpensive.. Now, with £10 minimum order and a lantern at £0.30, I might start a whole highway  lol

There was a terrain producer named "minis & scenery" that planned producing material for the (late) Okko game.

I seems to be dead by now ?

Have you looked at Oshiro Models?  They have an extensive range of Japanese stuff.

Are you sure you didn't check the 15mm section by mistake? I think they're more like 1 quid each.

The japanese walls are also nice (also visible in my pic).

Hovels is also carried by Spirit Games, in case you want something else on the side.

@ Malamute : Indeed, that's the first palce I went ^^ Yet the catalogue doesn't include stone lanterns :/

@ Maxxon : ... you're totally right, I should wear my glasses more often (getting old I guess). I checked Spirit Gaames and they seem to have some stuff I might find useful, thanks for bringing it to my attention ;)

Wooden lanterns are certainly more common in normal environs and the stone ones are usually only found in temples etc  :)

cheers

lol Be assured I'm most seriously considering your production, Sir. I just need to find a way better wage (that shouldn't be so difficult ... in normal times) to get my hands on every toys I want from you ;)
More seriously, I'm working on a mountainous board for now, including a very small village (5 to 6  dwellings and a barn so far) plus an aging shrine/temple. That's why I need a couple of stone lanterns. I'm considering wooden stuff is more common in plains or closer to places of higher passage: roads, Inns, etc.. Now I might be wrong: in that matter, you're a far better source of knowledge than I am.
