They are GW imperial guard sentinels, quite a nice kit that, the multi part legs are quite worth it.

They really are excellent. Loving the heraldry.

I saw another VSF version of a GW walker yesterday - in fact on this thread here (also a Sacramento, CA gamer... is there a conspiracy?), and was reminded I have one in a box somewhere. I am shameslessly going to steal be inspired by that idea and make a VSF one of my own...

Thanks. I wondered if they might be, but all the boiler-y bits at the back confuzzled me.

Thanks everyone. The original cockpit on the sentinel has been flipped and the oiler is where the pilot would sit. I cast a new cockpit and attached it to the new front.

Black Cavalier did a walker from a Star Wars model I believe. He and I play together a lot as well as Alfrik who made a pair of walkers recently from a ********-clix model of some kind. His and mine will probably butt heads this evening.

Yes, after I showed my 13-year-old this thread he told me 'that's a Star Wars walker dad, I'd recognise an AT-ST anywhere' in the way teenagers have...

Gosh did I feel foolish, until I remembered GW blatantly ripped their walkers off the Star Wars ones in the first place. Oh and Revenge of the Jedi was my least favourite of the Star Wars movies - then they released I, II and II, and suddenly RotJ was in the top 50%  ::)

I've been at the painting table working on the French and recently finished three companies (27 figs in all) of what will be my VSF Old Guard.
These were originally some Crusader Early WW2 French. The only modification being the adding of a bayonet and removing some of the bulky mess kits attached to the backpacks.

Once I get the bases done I'll have pictures of the British Volunteer Post Office Rifles.
