Happy Wanderer has been posting pictures of his Indian Mutiny British. You may have wondered who is he fighting against?

Here is my first unit completed unit; the 18th Bengal Native Infantry. The officers are missing because we... um... well... they have just gone. OK!

After years of painting only Front Rank and Copplestone, these fellows were a bit of a challenge to paint. Thank god for dip, I say!

Very nice indeed... or perhaps I should say "They won't stand for a minute against a good cavalry charge with sabres. No sir they don't like it up them."

The first 72 Mahratta tribesman, 24 more to go. I wish I knew who made cavalry. Perhaps the Perry Baggara cavalry from the Sudan range would pass muster.
