Nice looking stuff, I like the Comms tower :) Thanks for the heads up.

These look like part kits from the Hirst Arts plaster moulds. So for your buck you get enough plaster bits to make the depicted item.

The Hirst Arts moulds make me all tingly inside, they're so clever.

There are other "licensed Hirst Arts casters" or whatever they're called, with similar prices. You see them on eBay sometimes. I think they're fantastic, because I find the molds a tad too expensive and I don't want to cast the pieces myself, and they're still much cheaper than the resin/foam stuff that other terrain makers sell.

Yes, in Germany for example

http://www.the2legends.de/

Have a look under "Hirstarts Steine". They charge 2,- Euro for a full set of castings out of one mold. For that money you wouldn't go through that process of buying the mold and cast everything youself. Only if that's a hobby on its own ...

But most of us paint minis and build terrain in their short spare time, so for me that seems to be a bargain.

Oh, yes! I ordered a kit from then and being an old Lego fanatic... well, if Lego is sex, HirsArts is a full-body-sneeze. But enough with the horrible analogies; there is a certain art to casting them. It is not that hard to master if you follow the pedagogical steps in http://www.hirstarts.com/casting/casting.html and you can't do wrong.

How heavy is the Crystacal Alpha X compared to resin stuff?

Also they need to set up a paypal method for us over the pond. :(

These are copied from Antenociti's resin ones. I wonder if they have permission?
I hope so because I don't like to see a friend getting ripped off  :(

Paul, they look like castings from Hirst Arts Mould 302. Perhaps Antenociti is also licensed caster? :?:

Edit: Yep. He just seems to sell nice resin castings of the same part. But they're both licensed casters. Whew!
