Champions Online (a superhero MMO - but I also think the following stands true for the tabletop RPG version) actually has a special power-armored unit of the RCMP, although their armor is just dull grey for the most part of it. This one looks far more aesthetically pleasing.

Of course I've seen Incredibles. But the point is, in the superhero business you're very likely to get killed.
But when you have a cloak, you die with style.
