Looking for this guy (in the middle)
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:38:52 AM »
Hey guys, I am about to start a Arab venture, and want the figure in the middle w/ the monkey as my leader.  If anyone has one laying around collecting dust, I would love to get my hands on him.
Happy Gaming!

He is in one of the foundry Zanzibari leaders packs, painted one myself a few weeks ago.

Alas I think the buggers have taken him out!

Yeah. We've had this discussion before. He's been AWOL for quite some time.  I've got one of their fold-out catalogue thingies from the time when you got "bonus" figures if you bought a whole collection. Back then you got him if you bought the "Jungle Warriors" collection. I think he hasn't been available straightforwardly for sale since way back at the dawn of the range.

The missing figures from this range do however still occasionally crop up in packs, according to reports. Maybe old stock or something. You just have to get lucky.

Thanks guys!   I will probably have to e-mail wargames foundry then and beg for it.  My luck with this in the past has been " its in such and such a pack"  which it never is, and when you buy the pack its never in it.  Oh well, just fine tuning my lists and should have a big Colonial order in about three months.  Which gives me time to finish my Common wealth office, and Zulus.  Will be updating that thread this weekend with some new pics.

I got mine in the pack I ordered in 2009, although it was not on the photography.

It is rather common for Foundry to have 7-8 figures in the pack, although only 6 are advertised.

Well, I only got the foundry deal two months ago, so he is still very much in action!

Jazbo:  Glad to hear it.  I will be making an order very soon so hopefully he finds his way into the Zanzibari leader pack for me.

Thanks for the help everyone.  Love the different takes on the figure as well.
