Secrets of the third Reich: Live Wire
« on: January 23, 2011, 04:33:18 PM »
I bought Live Wire yesteday and painted her today for the West Wind painting competition this month.
Check out more pictures of her and read more about this particular German character on my blog  :)

Live Wire repainted, the previous color choice just didn't feel right so I had to repaint it:

Thanks, the model needed much more contrast between the flayed face and the barbed wire, the brown color just didn't work. I simply added 2 additional layers of dark brown mixed with stonewall grey on top of the previous paintjob. Went really fast.

I agree, I like your 2nd attempt better. Especially the symbol draws attention to the miniature...

Totally - like basing, I think little details like that symbol really make a mini.

Pity then that I'm rubbish at thinking about it when its my own creation!  :D

Looks really nice, and the base is, as all your bases seems to be, very good.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys, didn't win - the brilliant SoTR forum member MrCastle won a well earned 1st place.
Though I'm happy that I entered the competition which made me buy LiveWire. Wouldn't have bought her otherwise. Have not yet tried her out but she seems to be a decent close combat oriented character that you can include without sacrificing too much RP costs on a "hero" making the rest of the platoon suffer.

Never really cared for that mini, but you've made it look rather decent.  Well done.
