A question on scale (Dixon Dahomey)
« on: January 31, 2011, 11:01:14 PM »
Hi guys was just wondering how well the Dixon Dahomey wars figures scale up with other manufacturers? Specifically Perry/Foundry/Copplestone. Considering buying a few at Vapnartak if they're suitable.

Dixon's Dahomey are an oddity. The figures range from small (25mm) to large (near 30mm). I'd say they'd scale in well with just about any of the companies mentioned. See photo:

From left to right: A cat, Copplestone, Perry, Eureka, Dixon (one of the larger figures in the range)

Foundry are the same scale as Perry/Eureka. I wouldn't mix these three with Copplestone, though, as this photo demonstrates.
Hope this helps.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Looks like the paws of a 28 mm giant snow monster to me (very well painted).  ;)

1:1 scale. Alas, I cannot take credit for the paintwork, he came pre-painted.

You mean you've never heard of the Romanian army's 80-foot tall terror-cat, employed during the siege of Odessa?

No, my Germans only get Tigers and Panthers, with an odd Puma and Lynx.  What are the points like for an Eastern European Gigantjagdfelixdomesticus?

Here's a photo of the Dixon bearer and the Foundry porter on my blog. From left to right: Dixon, Foundry and Dixon.
