New member with an old old school picture: Added old Citadel 2/8
« on: February 06, 2011, 09:19:36 PM »
Hi, I've been visiting this site for a really long time and finally decided to post some of my figures.  I've really been inspired by all the old school Orcs and other figures, thank you.  Here are some Heritage Goblins that I bought about 30 years ago.  I recently stripped them and repainted them.

Here is a band of desperate adventurers that I've be using for Songs of Blades campaign my kids and I are playing

I'm currently working on an Old School Orc Army and some gangs for Fear and Faith.
Thanks again for the inspiration!

Welcome aboard!

Nice work - like the snakebite Orks that have snuck into your SOBH warband - certainly an eclectic bunch!

Looking forward to seing the Orc army you're working on.  :D

Hi Bloodysword, welcome! Those are great minis, I never bought any Heritage minis they really look great; nice paint jobs as well.
I think everyone here enjoys old school.

Cheers

WELCOME ABOARD! May your stay be LONG & MERRY!
COOL STUFF! When they first came out the Heritage minis were state of the art; AND the way you did them up they still are sharp little suckers. They were available again briefly from Reaper when Reaper was just starting out.
The Desperate Adventurers are a FINE if somewhat motley looking band of rogues...there are even a couple I don't recall seeing before. All VERY NICELY DONE!
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

OMG!!!  :o :o :o :o

I've been looking for those goblins for years and couldn't for the life of me remember the manufacturer.

Do you know if they're still available anywhere?

Lovely paint jobs btw.  ;)

Thank you for the comments.  Here is a bad shot of the first orc unit I completed.  It was one of the few great wins I received from e-bay.  I think I paid $8 US for them.  Of course they needed to be stripped and rebased but I am really happy with the results.

Here is my two Snakebite Orcs from my SoBaH band.  Sharp Axe and Grom.  Sharp Axe used to lead a band of savage Orcs but he tried to modernize them and the shaman turned the tribe against him.  Now he hires himself out as a scout to the highest bidder, currently a Ratman wizard looking for some map.

This figure I painted as an objective.  Really cool old citadel fig.

Finally, here are some old school citadel undead.  I picked these up because I liked Phreedh's undead so much.

Great stuff - like the Boarboyz although I do prefer the older 80s ones. Nice bargain though!

Phreedh's undead also had an evil influence on me too!

Some GREAT looking minis...another trip down Memory Lane. The little Wizard with the Scrolls was a favorite...I think he might be still kicking around with the minis I did for my old AD&D group. ALL VERY NICELY DONE!
