Thanks for the reply, randycarter. I am glad you like it  thus far. I am doing the W.I.P. pics partly to show how I have done the the beastie; & partly, since it is a long, difficult build, for the encouragement I get in the comments/replies.

I have some new ideas for the deep forest mushrooms & for the large foreground ones as well. There is still a lot of work to do before I can paint it, but I have been building up some speed...slowly.

Thanks for the kind reply, Tactalvanic. I am delighted you like the stuff. If my eyesight was up to par, I'd still be knocking out 28s. I am really happy it is still good enough for me to do the Mushrooms & miniatures of around that size. I have loved doing things in miniature for as long as I can remember. I will, hopefully, keep plugging away for as long as I am still alive....maybe longer.

This is the other side of Matakishi's Moon. It was a plain moon, but I decided it needed a face similar to, but different than the other side. SO I sculpted my own version,


It's benign expression may be to lull the unwary into a false sense of security.
