It's the same thing that makes clowns scary to a lot of children...& adults for that matter.

Hi DeafNala, I am a little late to the party but I really like the final skin tones you chose for the Dark Sun minis. All the other minis look as fabulous and vibrant as always.

Cheers,

Brilliant! I love the way the positioning of the legs suggests a kind of awkward, waddling gait - swaying from side to side Triffid style.

Thanks for the positive feedback, Guys!
@Damien: I'm pretty pleased with the skin colors; the grey/blue looks pretty close to Brom's illustration. While I'm sure the minis will look cool when complete, they are a group of those minis that I have to force myself to keep working on.

@Thantsants: Thanks for the Triffids trailer. I managed to miss seeing that flick somehow. Mobile, carnivorous flowers; these may be the perfect as the next Thing in the Woods & WONDERFUL Valentine's Day Gifts.

Nothing says I love you like a 10 foot tall, mobile, lethally poisonous, carnivorous plant  :D

Thanks for the video thingy! It brought to mind a scene from The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: sitting around a campfire eating hamburgers, the in-costume infiltrator asks "does anyone have some ketchup?".

Thanks, einarolafson! To be honest, I'd enjoy playing a game in the woods myself...may be someday.

Is this one of the plastic Citadel Fighting fantasy range?
That takes me back! Happy days!!! I'll need to dig out my 54mm wizard with an eye patch bought and painted back in the day.

Those Ne'er-Do-Well So & Soes over at Photo Bucket switched me to their God Awful New Version ahead of schedule. HOWEVER, undeterred I managed to upload the ASTOUNDINGLY MEDIOCRE photos I will now inflict upon you...hopefully:

Love 'em! You've managed to make the buggers fit in with the rest of your stuff perfectly.

As for the next mushroom, what about some deceptively sweet-looking old biddy grandma mushroom who's somehow spreading a cloud of spores (where else do little mushrooms come from?).

Not sure how you'd represent the spores, but you've proved damnably clever so far...

Despite what you say about the photos, I personally find your work lovely. Just great!

I like the Granny Fungus idea. I'll have to give that one some thought. As to sweet expressions, I always thought this Little Guy had an endearing smile:

...in a vicious sort of way.

It SUCKS. It takes forever just to find my albums; & finding an individual photo has become an Epic Quest of Homeric proportions. Considering the language I used when asked my opinion of the "new & improved" PhotoBucket, I'm surprised they haven't closed my account altogether.

Great stuff, Al.
Up to the your usual stunning and bewildering best!

As for PhotoBugger: I am DREADING the switch, I cannot stand the little trial that I did a while ago, but will have to do it soon.
