Well THANKS MUCHO for all the kind words, Guys! I was in need of some motivation. I'm glad I'm maintaining my reputation for a tenuous hold on reality as well.

There's still a lot to do on the board; SO you can expect periodic updates. I'm not sure if this is something to look forward to or dread...one or the other.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

That terrain looks absolutely cracking!  :o Your colour choices are spot on for a fairy-tale scenery, I hope we get to see more progress very soon.

Fantastical! Your stuff is so unmistakable: your own signature style, so to speak.

Thanks MUCHO for the kind comments, Guys!

That terrain looks absolutely cracking!  :o Your colour choices are spot on for a fairy-tale scenery, I hope we get to see more progress very soon.

The fairy tale description I think is very appropriate, especially if you think of the scarier, darker side of the Brothers Grimm style.
I've started working on some walkways/scaffolding/et al to connect the various buildings. Some spooky faces are also on the agenda; plus filling in the open spots with some ruins...I think I just wore myself out thinking about it.

Fantastical! Your stuff is so unmistakable: your own signature style, so to speak.

I think that is just about the finest of comments I've ever received. Having a style that is readily recognizable is a goal not all of us can achieve....even recognizably strange is a great accomplishment.

Thank, Major! I'm glad you like the stuff...hopefully, you'll like the buildings even more once they're fully painted.

NaLa that terrain is fantastic.  o_o Anyone would hate to fight amongst the twisting fungal terrain your constructing! I'd love to see those rectangular surfaces covered with your sporey creations, vines, mushrooms, brachen and ferns.  :-*

If anyone is mad enough to try it's you! And its not like you need to count rivets  lol

Cheers
Matt

Thanks for the kind words, Guys...they are my main source of motivation!
I've started the painting of Temerity O'Leery's Tower...the big central Mushroom structure. Adding some, appropriately enough, Leering faces is part of the process.

And its not like you need to count rivets  lol

Actually, I'm planning on adding some Goblin-Tech/Steam-Punky Stuff to the mix; SO a rivet count may be forthcoming...or not.

Holy cow, what a thread! I'm only a few pages in, but I had to skip to the end and let DeafNala know that he has a NEW FAN! OK, now back to the wilds of Stoned Henge on page 11....

Thanks for the kind & enthusiastic responses, Guys!

I had to wander through the thread while I was restoring the photos I had screwed up organizing my Photo Bucket Albums...it's an Epic Trek. I'm delighted you like my Horrors & took the time to say so. I hope your journey through the thread is FUN!

Delicious, dark phantasmagoria.

What a cool description! I love that word: "phantasmagoria"..I hope I can live up to it.

I'm glad you are enjoying my Creepy Creations.I have to go with fantasy/surrealism; I don't think I could pull off realistic if I tried. Self deprecation aside, I'll try to keep the Beasties coming.

DeafNala: I don't think I've seen this thread before, and I don't know how I missed it! :o

Filled with some great stuff. You have quite a whacky painting style that I find really fun :) I like the funny names and quirky figures you  use. The goblin/ogre (?) playing a horn upside-down is one of my favourites!

Keep up the fun and imaginative projects!
