Ribbit... Bederken toads
« on: February 10, 2011, 01:42:46 PM »
I was scratch building a Toad for HotT to represent an ensorcelled wizard today whilst my main sculpts where baking, and had so much fun I made a few more.

I enjoyed doing them so much that I have decided to cast up and release a whole range of variants.  Warrior toad, Wizard toad, Thief toad, Orc Toad, Pirate Toad, Zombie Toad, Dwarf Toad, Ranger Toad... etc, etc, etc.

I have done them in two scales- the one in the picture is 10mm to the eye, and his little friends are 4mm to the eye- ideal for a bit of 15mm sorcery.

A bit of silly fun, but I hope you enjoy!

Expect a release from Bederken around next month.

I agree, it's a great sculpt!  I never would have imagined that you could get that much character into a little toad!

Cracking stuff - I was just gloating over my growing Slann warband the other day - these little fellas may come in handy... >:D

Thanks guys...

Good idea about the warbands too - I should do some 'fighting toad' units suitable for Bullywug, Frogman and Slann warbands as well as dungeon encounters.

Toad fans may be interested to know Otherworld have a pair on giant toads from Kev A coming out in the near future......not to pee on your fire Dave, I'm sure they won't be doing the wacky ones like you're planning! :D

These are "Toad"ally awesome Dave.

I've always been a sucker for frogs and toads.
Cheers,
Ben.
