Look forward to seeing a report Binman!

Cheers Dave - just got to paint a few minis up before I can play The Larder of Doom!!! - a non-dwarf rescue party and a rather nice enchanter I picked up off ebay on a whim...  :)

Larder of doom is going to have to be a scenario in the book now.

 lol

Just putting the finishing touches to the rescue party - a small band of gnomes (including a wizard!) who happen to be passing by...

Just got to base them and, more importantly, think up some silly names for them!

Then its the evil arch-baddy wizard next...  >:D

Just converted a broken Lonewolf Vordak for my red orc tribe for my latest sorcerer.  Hard not to paint him purple for that old skeletor look.

My chaos army is calling at the moment though...

Hmmm - got loads of the Lonewolf gamebooks and quite like the minis - there's another expensive project waiting in the wings...  ::)

Looking forward to seeing more of your chaos stuff.  :D

So anyway - got the gnomes done - fairly speedy paint jobs!

Glimtwiss Greenfinger - Elemenatist

Dibber Trowelson - Hero

Herb Slugsbane - Warrior

Allam Smallmarsh - Warrior

Griebel Birdscarer - posted before but now with a red(ish) hat - just for you Rob, if you remember!  ;)

Also got the bad guy done, although you'll have to wait and see how he figures in with scenario for The Larder of Doom -

Tim the Necromancer

I had to post this pic too - Big Tim and Little Tim!

Ok most jealous of the gnomes, I only have the one from the adventures starter set.

You should call the gnomes after TV Gardeners, Wisard Tichmarsh has a good ring.

How do you have time to paint so many awesome figures?  My wife gives me crap if she sees a paint brush.  I love the way this story is expanding.  This is the kind of gaming that makes this hobby so much fun.  I think the names you give each figure make the story come alive.  Very few of my figures have names that stick.  Only the ones that earn them keep them, but I might change that.  Great Job!

Couldn't get that line out of head as soon as I saw that mini so I had to have it!

Maybe  I disguised the pun a little too well Erny - Alan Titshmarsh = Allam Smallmarsh!?

Couldn't think of any other famous gardeners that folk would recognise so I went for garden implements and other garden related things for names. The crossbowman is named in honour of Philip Griebel - first manufacturer in Germany of garden gnomes - google is a wondrous font of knowledge!  ;)

I think I may be a little cryptic with quite a few of my names to make them sound more fantasy - try googling some of the first and surnames I give my characters and you may fathom out how my warped little mind works...  ;D

Bloodysword - I've got a week off work at the mo and as I'm spending my days stripping wallpaper and painting our bedroom the trouble and strife doesn't seem to mind me doing some proper paintng in the evenings.

Just waiting for some patching plaster to dry which is why I'm posting now - that and she's out at the supermarket!  >:D

Comsquare - I have books 1-9 and a few of the later ones - I keep looking longingly at Gourgaz's on ebay though...  :P

That will teach me to skim read posts! Hadn't notice Smallmarsh.  Percy Thrower and Monty Don spring to mind too. Any javalin armed gnomes must be Percival Thrower...
When I used to work on the Human Genome project someone changed the name of our campus to the human gnome campus, got to be a good name in their too.

From the old days I still have No. 1-12, they stopped releasing them in german after no.12 >:(
The new editions have some extra adventures inside about the other Characters, or, in the case of no.1, are longer.

Was lucky to get a Gourgaz last year :D

If you like the Lone Wolf adventures then you must visit this page:

Great work so far.

And, Tim is really the best name for a wizard ;)
