I spotted these LOVELIES over on C.M.o.N.; SO I cast my vote...in a totally unbiased fashion of course. If anyone would care to add their impression via a vote:  http://www.coolminiornot.com/273793

Aaah, so I'm missing the hobbit on the mule..  always wondered what was supposed to go into that empty section of the box :)

Guess I was sort of lucky, buying 4 of these sets years ago (Hobbit, Henchmen, magic users and females). Now and then the get taken out of the lead pile and are lovingly looked at. But painting these guys/gals...  I never seem to get to it. And now you show them with great paintjobs.

Must be strong and try to finish my projects...  no derailing allowed here...

Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

AMAZING... old school for life.  :-* :-* :-*
I'm not old enough to talk about nostalgia (born in '88) but I really love these models as the first citadel's. They were art.
very very nice paintjob  ;)

I think part of the reason why a lot of people (including me) like these miniatures, is that they are hard to get, so there is a collecters issue and the fact that they often just ooze atmosphere (something to do with the poses), something that I think was lacking for ages from ca 1990-2006. Nowadays seems to be a goldens age for not only clean crisp sculpts, but also for the look.

The collector in me still we like to have more of the old grenadier sets, but the painter in me more readily paints more of the newer miniatures...

I'm on the lookout for other sets on ebay, so I'll see what I can get. I like the monster manuscripts also. those were always some great models.

Some tempting stuff here  http://shop.ebay.com/shaggymatt36/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

The shipping is pricey from the UK but he has the demon box, an awesome set.

I guess Mirliton has the rights for these models. I wasn't really sure until I saw the mention of the deomn box...  Since I recently bouight these directly from mirliton
