Battle Report: Atlantis 3 March 1891

Here follows the battle report between the British possessors of this great oceanic island holding, and those who would claim this bit of Atlantis as part of the Martian Hinterlands.

You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

If that's what you DID post, i can't wait to see what you did NOT post!  ;) ie LPL5

That's a whole lot of really cool scenery (especially the tower things)

This was a great deal of fun to play out, and the scenery made it all the better. I can only say that the pictures, nice as they are, do not do the actual pieces justice. Froggy's work is phenomenal.
My center is giving way, my right is in retreat; situation excellent. I shall attack.

Yaay!

The towers really do look very good, and I love the stands of plants too.

You've been busy haven't you? I notice a bunch more reports too - I'm going to have to get on with the maps!

Forgot to mention - We used the FUBAR core rules and the VSF supplement I wrote for it.

How do you like them?

I like them a lot.  Ranged combats tend to stall maneuver as the +1 for Aimed Fire and the activation penalty for having suppressed figures tends to lead to a lot of overwatch.  This is probably as it should be - scamper for cover, and trade fire.  Vehicles are just powerful enough to be scary but vincible, and how the VSF supplement does characters is just about the perfect mix for me at the moment between large fights and narrative.

Thats great. We have a large VSF game coming up at Hotlead in a few weeks. Your rule set may be the answer we need to keep the game from being bogged down in minutia.

As round 5 of LPL5 is completed and I no longer have any of these figures in competition, I have restored the unsmudged photos.

They're very groovy Froggy.

I shall have to create a new map to show the recent activity by the British and Martians in exploring the highlands. And we all know how fast I am at making maps!
