What i painted in March 2011
« on: 22 March 2011, 09:30:28 AM »
photos not very good as not too much light in my bedroom and did not have the studio lights with me,so it don't really give the figures the true colours.Still yet to make the flag and regiment name on the black plastic on the rear of the bases, these are for my franco Prussian

The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

A few bits painted, but only finished this one:

Another 6pdr gun for the AWI British batteries. Bought on February 21st (Tactica 2011), finished March 9th. One of my swiftest paintjobs of all time. Maybe it shows.
More shots in my blog's entry.

This would have been my LPL round 1 entry, if my e-mail had been working:

Also some Doctor Who 2010 stuff, which I'll post once I've finished the effing Silurans!

(PS, nevermore and/or Hammers, could you please add "2011" to the thread title?  It doesn't take much to confuse me!)
Back from the dead, almost.

Possibly nothing. For assorted reasons, I've been doing two-and-a-half people's work this year. Obviously it leaves very little time and energy for hobbies. These bits were mostly painted in February and retouched this weekend so there may be no March work there at all. Anyway...

On the first glance, it may look like just a simple circle of stones. The truth may be something entirely different, though. It can be a historical monument, a place of unknown worship, or a collection of resin pieces by Ainsty. That's something to think about. (The figure is just for scale, not painted in March.)

From the same source comes this second piece. The subject matter is dead serious. Five million people die each year to common diseases caused by insufficient sanitation. While modern flush toilets are convenient to the user, they waste immense amounts of pure water. A simple step back could save fresh water and improve the cycle of nutrients. Besides, it has been suggested that the term "netty" is derived from "necessity", which fittingly describes the central role of these facilities in any civilised society.

Of course, the inner schoolboy in me kept snickering at every step to the very thought of poop-related matters. I can't fool anyone.

Did I mention that I've been working too much?
