And there's one in a top hat  ;D 8)

I like the fact that they are armed with Martini Henrys - just what I need as reinforcements for my Darkest Africa militia unit. At present it's only 10 strong, mostly made up of Foundry explorers etc :)

I see the Gatling gunner is wearing the braided patrol jacket.  Is there any chance we'll see a gatling gunner in the scarlet frock as well?

Sorry no. Worth noting is that the Royal Artillery uniform is blue. The infantry were never allowed to play with mechanical stuff  :D

You are, of course, correct.

That's too bad, as I've been waiting for an RA Gatling for years, but am not a big fan of the patrol jacket.

I like the one in the top hat, very good.  :-*
Sorry to pour cold water on these though, but are n't they the same figures as in the previous release with different heads? I was rather hoping for something different. Never the less, I expect they will be added to van Whitt's Commando soon.

Any chance of some Boer artillery so we can delve into the First Anglo-Boer War? If I said pretty please would it help? :D

Yeah, these seem to be using the same bodies. Very nice additions to the Boers of course, but will we be seeing some new body-sculpts as well?

AFAIK these Boers were produced after requests for packs only containing the dismounted figures from the earlier Boer sets.

Interesting... I'm not knocking them anyway. After all... they are on the wish list already. :)
