Chris Peers Central Africa book
« on: April 09, 2011, 02:42:04 PM »
Hello, I received some saddening news this morning via email - Amazon notified me that the forthcoming Peers Central Africa book I pre-ordered has been pushed to May or June... was hoping it would get me cracking to work on my Azande.

http://www.amazon.com/CENTRAL-AFRICA-Colonial-Northern-Nyasaland/dp/1901543234/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1302356178&sr=8-1-spell

I've been eagerly anticipating this book!
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

My email says Estimated arrival date: April 20 2011 - May 05 2011

Look on the bright side: at the earliest that's only eleven days from now. Chin up!  :)

I'm in the USA though, I suspect that might account for the difference. It will just be that much sweeter when it arrives  ;)

Whenever it arrives, it should be a good read : Chris Peers is a safe pair of hands when it comes to colonial Africa.

Oh sorry, international differences in delivery time never entered my head.

I missed this one being released. Must have it!

Sadly I'll have to wait until Christmas unless they do some sort of crazy cut-price offer in the mean time.
