Hasslefree Hellboy (Painted At Last!)
« on: 16 April 2011, 09:04:15 AM »
Some of you may recall the thread showing my conversion of the Hasslefree "Harby" miniature into Hellboy:

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=7051.0

I've finally finished painting the figure. Most of the work was actually done last year (at the same time as my BPRD entry for LPLIV) but I never got around to finishing the coat and the base, so it languished until recently. Here are the pics:

Sweet! Although the comic is declining I am still a big fan.

You managed the tail better than what I did. I am a bit puzzled why it was not included in the Hasslefree kit.

Presumably for the same reason one does not receive a horned Hellboy head- less grounds for potential legal problems...  ;)

Very nice, I did the same thing with mine, GS horns and tail. Though my tail conversion appears from beneath the trenchoat. Your painting is great btw  :)

Right, but the emblematic Right Hand of Doom is in it.

I maybe talking through my hat here, but I think that there is actually some legal precedent that states that you have to have multiple points of similarity to claim copyright infringement. The Right Hand of Doom is only a single point...  ;)

You know, after waiting almost three years to get this devil finished and pictures taken, the weekend of Salute may not have been the absolute best time to post them...!  ::)
