Short history of D&D core classes (in miniature)
« on: April 24, 2011, 03:18:04 PM »
First of all, thanks to those who offered some good ideas in another thread to fill out a few classes I was missing at the time. The (Red Box) figures I got were great but a little too small to fit in with my other figures (they were true 28s.) But I found some good figures and finished this project just a few days ago:

A bit larger pic can be found here: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jKXHHfurttQ/TbIeaPWOFtI/AAAAAAAAC5w/PU8a9yQcL18/s1600/DnD+Core+Classes.jpg

This was a friggin' BRILLIANT idea mate!  What inspired you to do that?   :o :o :o :-* :-* :-*

Great painting and composition.  I wish I'd have thought of that.

Thanks for sharing!

I had a few of these figures sitting around doing nothing, so I found something to do with them  :)

Excellent! They almost bring a tear of nostalgia to the eye...  :'(

May one request that you post some individual close-up shots of them to this thread?

Individual pics as requested. Quality varies because some of these are much older pics (before I learned to use my camera better.)

BEAUTIFULLY DONE! Each piece is a little treasure. I've only had the pleasure of painting a couple of those minis; that Rackham Wizard one of those minis that, while I liked my final results, was pure torture to get just right. I find all your pieces to be highly inspiring; thanks...Old Guys need motivation.

Great paintjob, great theme, but your pictures are too "yellow". You need a better foto-studio...

Yes, i have to agree. Your painting is top notch indeed. Very nice blending of colors and execution of technique.
This is an ability i would strive to meet, and maybe in 3 or 4 hundred years i could achieve it.  :-)
Please, post more as soon as you are able to.

This is truly beautiful work! Great concept, stunningly executed. Love your rich use of colours. Brilliant.

This makes me wanna do some kinda high-concept diorama too (sigh, add another project to the list).

Great idea.  Masterful execution.  I'm surprised this hadn't been done before.
