What I finished building during Easter (big pics)
« on: April 25, 2011, 01:54:07 PM »
Hi guys,

I started this grisly shrine way back in 2008. I didn't really have much of an idea what it was going to end up looking like back then, but I'm quite happy with how it turned out... two and a half years later, no less! Here's a picture of the original hunk of foam, and a miniature for "scale":

I remember the time well, though. It was about the same time I stumbled upon LAF, and I had some WW2 Germans I was about to take on a voyage into WWW2 on the same workbench. After a recent clean-up, I drudged the aforementioned hunk of foam from storage and got to work with a base. This weekend, I finished the base and the paintjob. Here is what I came up with:

I realise now that I wouldn't have had anywhere near the same results had I attempted this way back when, so in a way I'm glad I put it on the backburner! I'm hoping to find a new owner for this now that it is finished, so if anyone is interested don't hesitate to let me know.

Is that a shrine to the Chaos God of strawberry jam? Only kidding, I hope that's not real blood from cutting yourself making it. Looks good.

Do you always sell your stuff? I don't think I could part with any of my builds, it'd be like putting your kids up for adoption!!!!! :( :(
