Qwik-Game of the Wasteland
« on: April 25, 2011, 09:25:06 PM »
Heisan,

don't know if it was mentioned before, but today was a game released called

Qwik-Game of Wasteland

It's a Jugger like tabletop/boardgame in 15mm.

As being a fan of the movie I had to order it directly :D
As soon as it arrives I'll make some testgames and a small review about it.

To order it and for more details follow that link

Definitely getting it....!!! I can't find the links to the real game on youtube.... anyone know where to see the links to the actual league play games? I saw them somewhere, but when you type in 'Juggers' you get my favorite redneck chick fishing, and cavorting about with her sweet, sweet accent.....
Juggers.... the actual LIVE game.... anyone know the links to it.....?

One miniature is too many, and a thousand are not enough...

I will probably be getting this to integrate into my ATZ games, along with After the Horsemen (when it comes out). I, Zombie introduced pit fighting and also had Zombie Racing (originally released as a separate game, Dead Heat, the I, Zombie rules are a condensed version). Though I wont be playing Qwik, Pit Fighting or Zombie Racing until a later set campaign (one that takes place at least a few years after the initial outbreak happens) and I will probably have these games taking place in Ganger communities and less then reputable communities (like Lake Havasu City in I, Zombie).

Cracking stuff EC, I can't wait to see your first game set up and ready to play  :D

When I get around to it, I'm probably going to be slightly less ambitious and do it in 15mm  lol

Finally got a chance to order my copy of Qwik. I went with a printed copy (comes with the pdf copy at no additional cost emailed to you), currently reading over the pdf copy and then thinking of doing a dry run through of the game on a sheet of paper with paper counters for the figures to get a hang of the rules. Will probably integrate it into my ATZ Mackinac Island Campaign (takes place a few years after the outbreak), as a game played by the Gangers and in the communities controlled by them along with Green bay, Wisconsin (I am modeling Green bay off of Lake Havasu City in ATZ: I, Zombie, its a city were you can partake in most vices). My main survivors community on Mackinac Island may have a coupel of teams that play Qwik, but they wont be as competitive as in Green bay and the Ganger communities (they won't play as rough), though the Island may have a team that does compete in the Green Bay tournaments.

I just received the game yesterday.

I am looking for miniatures in 28 mm size for driver (with pile driver)
and men with chains.

I just know :
- savage with chain  from Em miniatures,
- some from Dark Age miniatures (in 32 mm)  with 2 hand blunt weapon,
- Eden miniatures.

Do you know some miniatures in wasteland style in 28 mm ?
- 3 driver with pile driver.
- 1 men wearing a chain.
- 1 men without weapon.

Out of focus, snapped late last night as I finished them, Qwik team pics. Got the rules and minis on the 21st and spent the last few days getting them polished off. Currently working on a review for reviewingwargames.com that should be up after I get my test games in over the next couple of weeks.

Looking good Bob! It seems like a fun game to play, so I look forward to seeing how you get on with it. I'm very tempted to put in an order for those figures, even with the horrible dollar-pond exchange rate.  :)
