Absolutely stunning stuff Cap'n.  o_o o_o o_o o_o o_o :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

One thing that hasn't been talked about is the really high quality of the cameraq work too- an oft overlooked part of showing mini's on any fora  8) 8) 8) 8) 8).

Can't wait to see the 'Lombards'  :).

Darrell.

Thanks again chaps  :)

I completely agree with you Darrell. Being a good painter is only half the battle. Being able to create a good picture is just as important - more so almost. Look at the LPL: time and again you see really good paintjobs let down by fuzzy focus and poor framing, cropping or composition.
Equally, you can find lots of examples of pretty average painting really brought to life by great presentation and image making. You've got to work at both  ;)

Intriguing!  Can u tell us more?

Yes - you'll have to buy the next issue of the rejuvenated Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy to find out  :D

It's true – anyone who's seen Captain Blood's stuff in the flesh knows that behind the trick photography, they actually look like the work of a six year old! lol

Just seen these again in Wargames Soldiers and Strategy. :-* :-* :-*
Our Captain is famous :D
Very nice article Richard.
It is only the second time I have bought the mag and I am really getting to like it.
I bought WI at the same time and it is no where near as good unless you the one or two subjects that fill the whole mag. Mr bibbly did have some pics in that but not a full 3 pages ;)

Thanks Colin  :)

Yes, it's pretty much a retread of a thread I originally posted here, but it's nice to see it in print.

I have to agree with you, I think the new look WSS is one of the best wargaming mags I've seen. Certainly much more up my street than WI these days. I'm happy to contribute to such a well produced publication.

Tell you what, I'd bet that Guy Bowers, the editor, would kill for an article on making a zeppelin  ;)

Did I? Bugger, I hate being away  :)

And yes, I have to agree, it's certainly the best magazine for our hobby out there at the mo. It will be nice to see it go monthly  :)

cheers

I would, but apparently "issue 55 out in WHSmiths from July 1st" doesn't apply to any of the branches round here. Northist bastards.  >:(

All looking great anyway, Captain. I am as ever jealous of your output.  :)
