Deadlands Hucksters and Hex-Slingers
« on: May 01, 2011, 08:04:27 PM »
Now that they can rest from their labors in round 7 of the current LPL contest, I thought that people might like to see some individual pictures of my Deadlands figures.

Here's the entry photo:

Here are some individual pictures:

My original plan with these was to make a much more high-concept entry, using a very limited palette consisting only of those colors that you would find on a playing card (essentially red, yellow and blue, plus black and white). During the process of painting them I fell away from that concept (you can see echoes of it in the two female Huckster figures). In retrospect I wish that I had held to the concept as that might have produced a much more visually-striking entry.

The playing cards were each carefully drawn with a .500 micron pen.

I think these are great - I voted for them!

Love the detail on the cards and that guys with the yellow waistcoat is top notch.

But...another website with no pics and no descriptions. Some figure manufacturers just don't want my money.

I hear that, I have tried a few times to order a couple of minis from this site but Paypal wont let them receive money....not a good sign.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.
