The music and the daring do is good too; as is the cable car fight (ouch!).
And the bus ride at the end is grand - now THAT's a subject for a Dark Future chase......
By the way, are the rules for that still available (and that uses up newbie question no. 2 for me)?
A bus with a huge snowplough would be a nice project for this.

Vanvlak, I think there was a time when you could download them from the net, but I reckon GW have hunted down and shot all sites doing that.

I still have my original box from when it came out, but I haven't had the rules for years. Someone I lost contact with borrowed the rulebook and I never got it back. Luckily a couple of weeks ago I found someone selling a set on eBay. His set had the rulebook but the plastic cars had been destroyed by the ill-advised application of some paint-stripper. This meant that I was pretty much on my own as far as the bidding went (I didn't care about the cars, I just wanted the rulebook), so I picked it up for what I thought was a pretty good price.

Just have to keep your eyes peeled, I guess.

Thanks, Plynkes.
So - eyes peeled for (i) Dark Future and (ii) one bus (iii) one snow plough

Back on topic: will be seeing, rather than have see: Stardust. Swashbuckling, by the looks of it.

Britannia used to make (may well still do for all I know) a WWII 20mm bus like the one in the film. All you'd need to do would be to make the snow plough.

20mm isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's the right scale for Dark Future.

Ah, splendid - a snowplouch shouldn;t be much trouble.
Thanks again, Plynkes.  :)

As an aside, going back to "Death Proof" for a second, I forgot to say: I played "Ship's Mast" once, and it was a helluva lot of fun.

Luckily we weren't attacked by a homicidal stuntman the day I did it.

It's a terrible film, I have it on DVD, too. One of those sunday paper giveaways.

On the upside, you do briefly see the black chick without her kit on.

Yeah, you'd think so, wouldn't you? I did, too. Peter Ustinov and all. He's almost always worth watching.

This is one of those pictures that sadly adds up to less than the sum of its parts.

I once watched an Interview with Michael Caine and he said he wasn`t too choosy about what films he appeared in as it paid the bills, this could only be beaten by Jaws IV for naff :freak:
