I believe there is a Return to the Land that Time Forgot, or somesuch nonsense. I seem to remember a plane crashing on a plateau and finding a beardy Doug waiting for them.

Bosh! there we go:

Colorized 1935 "SHE" is awesome

Greetings,

I just Netflixed the '35 version of "SHE" from the Haggard story.

Wow!  Starring Randolph Scott and Nigel (Dr Watson) Bruce.  The story is relocated from Africa to the Artic, but it's a pretty nice adaption.

The heroes are captured by some thuggish cave dwellers who try to kill them off, before a phalanx of "She's" greek-ish looking troops rescue them.

Great cult looking costumes, impressive sets and special effects.

Hair-raising score by Max Steiner.

Created by the same team that brought us the original "Kong"

Check it out!

Oh I liked those - there was a scene in one of them where theres a gas attack followed by a charge by German lancers in gas-masks - very cool

Sounds interesting. I haven´t seen that yet. 10 DVDs with 2 episodes each. That is truckloads of inspiration!

I have just seen 'L'Ennemi Intime' (The Intimate Enemy), a French film about the war in Algeria. In my book it's the best bloody war flick sine 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Band of Brothers', so I am guessing I sticking my neck out here...
