I buy a copy of The Fantastic Four… Not a particularly inspiring film but it was dirt cheap at the local Wal-Mart… There is a problem though. Although the box was written in both English and French and that it clearly stated that the DVD include the dubbed French version, it didn’t!!!  :-[

That’s not the first time it happen to me… make me wonder if big company have any respect for the French speaking Canadian… we are a market of several millions after all…
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Quite frankly Calimero, watching that turgid lump of studio butchered crap in a language you are not 100% fluent in could only improve it IMO. At least you could make up some significantly less banal dialogue.  lol

I rented The Admiral the other day. Terrible acting, bayonet charges, Russians, the Imperial German Navy, tons of high explosive and some really big hats. What's not to like?
Not a film I'd really consider buying, though, unless it was dirt cheap.

Rental, not buying, but I got all three of the good Indiana Jones movies out, watched them with beer. First (Lost Ark) really is the best, Temple of Doom hits the gore/grossout too hard. Last Crusade is good fun.

The less said about Crystal Skull, the better. Didn't bother renting it.  lol

I purchased more DVDs in the last weeks than over the last year in Germany, so it´ll take some time to watch through all. Mainly stuff I always wanted but which was prohibitively expensive back home.

I´ll only list the most "gameable" ones (though I´m sure there is a potential subject in "Yes, Prime Minister", though I haven´t pinned it down yet).

  • Aliens and Predator Total Destruction: Alien I-IV, Predator I & 2, AvP 1&2, 8 movies for 15 GBP at HMV (bought yesterday, so if anyone´s interested, there might still be more out there. Although I must say that the first AvP movie which I watched out of interest yesterday wasn´t really worth the 1,88 GBP. But I bought the box mainly for the Alien movies, so who cares!)

I am watching HBO's "Generation Kill"...

It just finished on TV here. Good ending! If in doubt, end with the Man in Black.

(Um, SPOILERS, I suppose. But not really. Only if you don't want to know what tune they end the series with.)

...well, not really received, but very much appreciated. Yesterday I discovered, in earnest so to say, the BBC series 'The Thick of It'. Not quite West Wing, is it? :) What a stream of horrible abuse and filth Peter Capaldi is capable of. I love it! I am very keen to see 'In the Loop'.

If you're enjoying this series of The Thick Of It, it's well worth looking up the first too as well.
