Just picked a copy of "The Inspector General" with Danny Kaye at the Dollar Tree Store.

I watched "The Young Victoria" the other night.



I bit bloody good, I must say. Emily Blunt is probably a fair bit more attractive than the real Queen Vic (Gawd bless her!). It was not the romantic costume drama I expected but a quite interesting account of the court intrigues concerning her crowning and marriage.

I went on an anime vsf/steampunk kick and watched Steamboy, Howls Moving Castle and Castle in the Sky.  If you want to get into the feel of VSF and Steampunk you just need to watch these.  For you Post Apocalyptic types try Vapire Hunter D for a very strange twist on the world of tomorrow.

Seems like our local HMV is having a bit of a clear-out.

Just picked up Jin-Roh for a fiver, and the second and third Young Indiana Jones boxed sets (War years/Years of Change) for £7 each! 

For some reason the first box was still forty quid, but I seem to remember that one was a bit ropey anyway. I'll probably try to pick it up cheap second hand on Amazon at some point, just for completeness sake.

I love Tommy Lee Jones when he's in stuff like this. He's possibly my favourite current American actor, and my second-favourite Texan of all time (after Beyoncé of course).

Thanks to Dylan I purchased "The Yakuza" and what a brillant movie. I was very moved - thanks Dylan.

I also purchased "The Keys of the Kingdom" an another brillant movie. Love Gregory Peck in the role and the Mother Superior. Some touching moments and naturally some funny moments. Oh, the war-time scenes are great too.

"Angels & Demons" which I very much enjoyed viewing.

Well, i'll put forward the Terminator movies.  'Dash it all man!  The clockwork soldiers are running riot!!'


And the absolute pinnacle has to be 'The Man Who Would Be King'.
