There's a papermodel of that somewhere on the web.

Good spot Zizi. Wow there is some great stuff out there. I suspect that because you print it yourself it can be scaled to meet your needs and if you dont want it in paper use them as plans.

The first series (of two) of the BBC's 1980s English Civil War drama, By the Sword Divided.  I hope it'll give me the impetus to get back to my stalled "At Hob's Hill, 1645" project.

Picked up The Pacific at Sainsbury's for £18 but as I had vouchers as a loyal customer, it was nearer £14!  :D

Captain America and Pacific. Love them both especially Pacific.
Best wishes,

I have just bought "Gettysburg" for £1 (Tom Berenger, Martin Sheen, Jeff Daniels), Before I commit 4 hours of life watching it can I ask

"Is it any good?"

Dialogue can be clumsy and unintentionally funny at times but with so many reenactors involved the battle scenes are very well realised. Little round top is good but pickets charge is even better. A mini gripe is i wish they gave the cannons recoil. Well worth £1!!!

Except that many of them re-enactors are rather too 'super-sized' to be convincing veterans of the Army of Northern Virginia for my money.  :)

I think it is well-worth seeing. Some great familiar faces doing their thing, and Jeff Daniels is rather surprisingly good in a serious role. I think Stephen Lang, Martin Sheen, Tom Berenger and Sam Elliott are always worth watching, even when they are in shit films. And this is by no means a shit film, though it can be a bit too talky when trying to cram in all the exposition about motivation and why they are all fighting and such.

Here's a bit of fun for you: Try and see if you can spot former Bond, George Lazenby in there. He has a speaking role, but not for long.

Kingdom of Heaven, the director's cut version. I enjoyed it a lot. Thought the character's attitudes on religion were a bit cynical in ways which didn't quite seem historically realistic, even bordering on the heavy-handed (this coming from a weak atheist), but I give big props to the writer for making it naturalistic instead of stopping to preach at the audience. The color grading was quite oddly bad, especially for a Ridley Scott film. All the same, fantastic movie IMO.

First non-LotR/PotC Orlando Bloom role I've seen, and I was pleasantly surprised by how differently he comes across here. I really liked the "thousand yard stare" he pulled off, and how it gradually changes and "heals" over the course of the movie, but never completely goes away.

History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.

Watched 'The Wolfman' (new) couple of days ago. Liked it. Guessed the plot very early on, though. Never saw the classic one.
