I've never heard of Gunga Din as a movie but the models look good! I also like the gladiators, well done both!
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

They are indeed Mr. Murch's Thugee Stranglers, he had 5 or 6 packs with him at Trumpeter Salute in Vancouver last month and I snagged one!

He's working on at least one more pack of Thugee, cast with open hands and a mixed batch of weaponry, then I guess he'll officially release both packs together.

They're great figures, loads of character and easy to paint. Bob had master casts of the 2nd open-handed pack to show off at Trumpeter too, they're just as good and more versatile.

Gunga Din was one of my fathers favorite movies.  He loved Victor McLaglen, Cary Grant and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

Great Thuggees Wirelizard.  No fair teasing us though! :)

You can't, yet. Well, unless you were at a specific convention in Vancouver, BC at the beginning of April. <evil grin>

They will, in the fullness of time, be released by Bob Murch of Pulp Figures. He had five pre-release packs available at Trumpeter Salute on the first weekend of April; they're not even listed on his website yet except in the pre-release Preview section.

The shocking thing, to me, is that Mr. Murch told me on the last day of the con (standard Friday-evening-thru-Sunday-afternoon affair) that he still had two packs going home with him... people hadn't snapped up the pre-release shiny completely...

So be patient, and in the meantime, vote for my thugee whilst you dream of having some of your own.

(Why, yes, I am sometimes evil. Thank you for noticing.)  ;)

I just posted a few thoughts on this final LPL round and the figures I used over on The Warbard.

One thing I've been wondering: how many votes did being lucky enough to have pre-release figures by a well-known sculptor gain me? Let's face it, LPL is always a showcase for Pulp Figures (amongst a handful of other companies) and being able to show off figures that aren't even on the PF website can't have hurt. Novelty value, no?
