Hehehe, very nice entries both, but the humour in the second entry gets my vote. I don't think it'll make much of a difference though. I love the Mount Rushmore drawing in the background!
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Tom, for theme bonus points purposes, is Cutting The Boom a movie reference? (Because if it is, I'm not familiar with the film concerned). Thanks.

Aha. Thanks Plynkes. I thought it might be, but have never actually seen the movie.

Shame on you, Richard!

That is a great movie!  You really owe it to yourself to see it.

Sorry about that Captain Blood. Yes, Plynkes got it right.
The reference is from the Sand Pebbles, one of my all time favorite movies.

It's not really an action movie though. Only a bit at the end. It's mostly human drama and a study of a dysfunctional ship falling apart, colonialism, racism etc. Bit of 60s anti-Vietnam war sentiment bubbling under the surface too, I'll warrant. The picture is not exactly an exercise in flag-waving, going by the way it depicts the US Navy.

Still a really good film. Dickie Attenborough is in it too, and his storyline is my favourite part. Not too sure about his accent, though. An American would be a better judge of that.
