I like! They look better than mine.  :-*

(though I'm not convinced by the bases).

For the bases, you`ll have to wait for the club project of 2013, but to give a hint of what we`re working on / building with the Far Side, think gladiatorial gaming with an anime twist:

The bases are the `pattern` the arena floors will have (more or less)

Great paint job; I'm not familiar with the figures, though. Where are they from?

They where made by Bandai (or sub associate), in one of their many Gashapon series from their Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac, Chevaliers du Zodiaque, whotnot how it is called in some countries) anime line

They are bendy plastic ~45mm figures from the Saint Seiya series. :)

Ah, I see. Looking forward to it then. Myself, I used 40mm resin lipped bases with a suitable flagstone look from Dragonforge and from Fenris Games.

This flew under my radar completely! Nice job Tomsche, really like the cartoony look. As with WK, I don't much like the bases - but I guess it comes with the aforementioned cartoony look. "Regular" base work would probably look out of place.
