So I finally cleaned up the ship wreck Island for the convention table. It uses the same Ziterdes models that are quite popular on this board.

Ziterdes-terrain is easy to converse, if need be, and great to handle. Robust, but light. Like it, too!

the fabric is meant as sailings coming down, while going ship-wrecked at the beach, isn't it?

I like the places, where the flotsam is at the beach. The wet parts of the sand look good! Though I think, the bruched parts seems to be a little bit to much contrast. Also, most parts of the sand weren't painted, it is the original sand/colour?

However, it all looks quite nice! Quite sandy, hot and dry-like!

Dr. The Viking:
The Palms are spray painted with flat Krylon Fusion olive drab. It is about the only thing that will stick to the plastic those trees are made from.

 Drachenklinge:
The Canvas is part of the model, and covers the areas of the deck that would normally be a cavity. I think it was the artist's practical application to make a single foam structure. No part of the model is the original color; I prime almost everything, old habit.

What did you use to create the sea effect? Some kind of plastic sheet?
I'd be grateful for any info, as I have a 12' x 6' table to cover and I want it to look good!

cracked ice light diffuser panels. I'm not sure where to get them outside the U.S. You might have a building supply store order them for you. The come in 2 by 4 foot sheets of acrylic and styrene. The Acrylic are the best choice being more flexible they hold up longer. Paint the smooth side with a two toned blotchy blue pattern and turn the texture up.

Magister Militum sell those palms in the UK. I've tried to find a Bakery/Cake Decoration company that stocks them to no avail as I needed lots for my 'Nam jungle. However the MM prices are bearable.
