My Pilots House- props to Galland
« on: 15 June 2011, 06:05:54 PM »
I've had the GW Chapel lying around in a box forever. unmotivated to use it for Warhammer. GW's icongraphy (ie. skulls everywhere) sometimes makes it hard to use these things for other purposes. After seeing Gallands "Pirate Adventure" thread and his use of the chapel and that insanely awesome Pilots house they did...I thought I do something similar for my little town and went to work un GW'ing it as much as I could.  here is the end result, I'm quite please it with and its being entered in a local terrain contest.
so thanks to galland..as another piece sitting around in the box has now been brought to life another cool piece for my town.

Blog post about the piece here

You've done a great job there! It could certainly be used in any fantasy and relevant historical setting now.

Wait! You've left a skull above the door  :o  Shame on you......

 lol lol   ;)

Inspirational! :o
I now know how to make my Temple of Morr a little more imposing in my variant of Mordheim.
No need to remove any skulls either!
Congratulations on the skull-disguising, by the way.
I know how annoying hiding features can be, having removed the rivets, (all umpty-thousand it seemed), from the Shrine of Aquila when converting it for a medieval setting as the main wall of my church. Not to mention the slashed thumb when I carried on too long having lost concentration.....(note to self; Scalpels are sharp! Doh!)
Well done, Sir, I shall be 'borrowing' a little of this one.
