Hello Chaps!
Well, the other night Legionnaire Bert and Kitsune popped round for an evening's mayhem in Krappefortt.
There were three games in total;
Possessed (LB) vs Witch Hunters (K)
Witch Hunters (K) vs Shadow Elves (M)
Shadow Elves (M) vs Dwarven Treasure Hunters (LB)
Much carnage and mayhem ensued in the Gaol district of Krappefortt and many photos were taken.
Unfortunately, as is becoming par for the course, my use of the camera was woeful!
Fortunately, Kitsune also took plenty of piccies on his phone and these should be ok. (He not being of the camera illiterate species that I, quite obviously, am).
I will post the pictures of the games that I took came out passable, and Kitsune has promised to add his to this thread to improve the clarity and prove that these games DID actually take place!
Here are a selection of the least distorted pictures that I took, starting with the encounter between the Dwarven warband, the Pits Bog Stealers and the mysterious Shadow Elf warband.
The scenario generated was Skirmish- a straightforward fight between two wandering warbands encountering each other in the ruins of Krappfortt.
Apprpriate enough considering these two groups have a 'history' and wouldn't need any excuse to attack each other;
The Elves take the high ground against the Dwarves.
Ogre vs Trollslayer. (The Ogre eventually emerging victorious!)
The majority of the Dwarven warband advancing outside the main gate to the Gaol
The Ogre and the Warcat of the Elven warband advancing at ground level
To avoid more embarassment for the Pits Bog Stealer, the outcome of this encounter shall remain a mystery!
The next set of photos were taken during the encounter between the Witch Hunters and the Shadow Elves.
The scenario was Occupy, where the bands are contesting the search rights of the Gaol. The four corner buildings were the objectives in question;
The Witch Hunters starting the game at one end of the Gaol, with the Ogre and a flaggelant starting up high in an attempt to rush via the walkways
The Ogre was gaining ground at a rapid rate, whilst being peppered by shots from any Elf that could draw a line of sight to him.
The Ogre took two wounds from the rain of arrows aimed in his direction over several turns, before being charged by the brave (Suicidal!?!) Elven leader, who managed to get in an amazingly lucky critical hit and took him down, causing him to topple from the walkway and hit the ground with a great crash!
He had done his job, though, and soaked up all the enemy bowfire allowing the rest of the Witch Hunters to advance unmolested.
The Elves then turned their attention to the other members of the Witch-hating Templars of Sigmar
While the Elves had been busy shooting at the ogre, a crazed Flaggelant had managed to engage the Elven Lord, only to suffer the same fate as his larger comrade.
Meanwhile, at ground level another pair of Flaggelants had been engaged. The first was shot down before he could bring the Elves to battle, leaving the lone survivor to be attacked by the two Elven champions, who managed to take him down.
After dispatching first the ogre and then a crazed Flaggelant, the Elf Lord turned his attention to the advancing Witch Hunter Captain. Taking aim with his longbow, the Elven leader took down his opposite number with an amazing shot between the eyes, killing him instantly!
Upon seeing this the rest of his band fled the field leaving the Elves in control of the Gaol!
The victorious Elves investigate the ship moored at the dock by the Gaol
The clash between the Possessed and the Witch Hunters was a very short and brutal encounter with the Chaos-tainted attempting to perform a Breakthrough and escape off of the board edge where the Witch Hunters initially started.
The really bloody action took place by the docks, with the heavyweights of both sides charging headlong at each other
The two bands crashed into each other with the Warrior Priests unleasing the power of Sigmar in the form of the Prayer of Soulfire, taking down a mutant and inflicting a wound on a Beastman and the huge glowing Possessed!
(It appears the Possessed had earlier fallen in the dock before entering an abandoned flour mill, hence his all-white appearance- Yeah? Right! We still do not believe you, Rob. You had better get him painted up before the next game!)
The two crazed warbands engage each other in furios combat, during which the Chaos band lost both of the previously wounded Possessed and Beastman!
Seeing these champions of the Lord of the Pit fall the rest of the warband thought hanging around would be seriously detrimental to their health and fled!
All in all, a great evenings gaming, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Kitsune; Please add any pics that you took. You know how many I took and these are the only ones that came out half decent. Cheers.
