I think you two are on the wrong site! :o

Thanks for the comments, though, Chaps!

Back to the thread (while those two get a room!).
Got almost all the ground floor area completed today, adding a couple more items to the more empty areas, weathered the roof and chimney and got the areas surrounding the buildings suitably 'grassed' and overgrown.

Should get the last few bits finished tomorrow, hopefully the second storey section as well.

Will take some more pictures then....

Although I've popped in periodically since the start of this project, I finally took the time to read it all through and really must congratulate you on an impressive undertaking.  I just wish I could dedicate myself to finishing off some of the stuff I've started over the years.  My attention span makes a butterfly look one-tracked!

Question, though.  Just how do you spell the name of your town? There's been at least three variations that I've encountered although, judging by the lack of literacy throughout the Old World, that may be expected!

Whatever happened to the map you were going to show us?

I'm a bit surprised at the fact that nobody seems to have picked up on the gawdawful pun in the name of your undertaker.  You should be ashamed of yourself! Consider yourself chastised!  ;)

Why take Life seriously? You'll never get out of it alive!

Thanks, archangel1!
I sympathise with the dedication statement. I still have trouble with that, it just seems that I now have the opposite problem: I cannot move on at the moment!
(I am supposed to be doing another project now, but cannot seem to leave this one. I keep getting more ideas!)
I have extended my deadline for this project by a month already, and think it will have to be extended some more.....

Whatever happened to the map you were going to show us?

The map?
Truth is; I just cannot find it!
(I moved house in March, and have not been able to find it since.)
There are actually two different versions.
One is a bird's eye view of the town, the other is a simplified grid reference version with the town divided into 30 different areas with specific rules for each section.
I have found a 'used' version of the grid type, showing several turns worth of movement of the various gangs that took part in the second campaign, but that is a little messy!
I will post it when it turns up, as I do not want to have to draw it again.
It is very tedious drawing all those rooftops!

It should read as 'Krappefortt', as in the title.
I keep spelling it wrong. I should use the 'preview' option more often, I know....

I am quite surprised too, to be honest. I thought that would have been noticed earlier!

Ashamed?!?
Never!

Chastised?!?
Maybe?........

........or maybe not!

Ok, ok, the 'Fling houses are next.
Nag, nag, nag!  ;)

Well the first Slum piece is as good as finished.
I need to go back and add the second storey section and tidy up a few areas, but I thought that I would post the pics now, as is.
If anyone spots any glaring errors, feel free to point them out!
The pics are not the best, as usual, taken under artificial light, but give a general idea. A bit brighter than in real life, but OK.

First up, a couple of front and rear shots

And some close up shots showing the details

Like I said, it needs a little more work, but I think it is ok to put pictures now.

On to the Halfling Quarter next...

Like the little touches like the dresser and the cracked wine cask, lovely stuff as ever, you've got me interested in doing a little mordheim-esque fantasy zombie game now. Must resist too many things unfinished as it is!

;)

Thanks, Commander V!

Glad you noticed the details!
That 'dresser' is actually an Aga-style stove. It has a pipe going through the wall leading to a small 'chimney' on the other side.
As my pictures are so bad, I am not surprised you thought it was a dresser......

Note to self; Learn to use the camera!

Funny you should say that, as I plan a zombie-fest soon. A kind of Precinct 13 affair, with other Undead as well as the 'must-have' zombies.

Fantastic work again my man! Love it, your usual loving attention to detail. I think this piece is cool to be left as it is, I don't think it needs any more levels. I think it is good to have a range of building heights in Mordheim - something needs to be done about your superior elven marksmanship! That's not the reaosn, though, honest - I'm not getting paranoid about your elves. lol

I'd like to see a halfling brothel - or would no one go that low? Boom-tish!  :P

Some more of these size buildings would be wicked mate, as the idea of the Pecks Slum halfling quarter is a winner.

Now what you really need is some futuristic buildings, covered in snow, ideal for Dust -they wouldn't fit in at all and you'd be forced to donate them to me! No? Ah well, worth a try...

 :D

Nope, I'd definitely call this piece finished, mate - fine as it is. Can't wait to see what you have lined up next!

Bert
