You've really gone to (Krappefortt) Town on the basing, mate, great effort! A base sets off a model, and your centigor basing is awesome :-*. Let's hope he doesn't let you down next time he's on the table!

I also think Rocky needs to make a re-appearance soon - a model that monumental just has to be used! I see a multi-player versus the GM looming methinks...

Thanks for the encouragement, Chaps!
I am hoping to get pictures of the finished Beasties taken today, (if the Mrs gets the time to take them, that is!)

Bert; Certainly hoping ol' Kuthburt Cowfoot does a better job of sticking around in future!

Regarding Rocky. I had considered selling him off earlier in the week, but seeing as how you asked nicely, have decided to keep him on.
It is only right to keep all the local characters, so a guest appearance could be due soon.
I am sure that your Dwarves would like to contest squatters rights to the caverns!
I will probably have to do something about his base though. That 60mm one is certainly looking a bit plain at the moment...(At this rate will I ever consider this project finished?  ::))

Finished? ??? This project will NEVER be truly finished, you know that! Mwah hah hah hah ha...

 lol

Still, looking forward to some Easter action of some description - may get to use the undead as well as one of my more experienced warbands...

Not sure about taking on Rocky with my poor dwarf miners, as that big ol' boy is mean! T'lads might go on't strike if I suggest it, lad...

 ;)

OK, Bert, point taken.
Yer Dwarves is a bunch o' short an' scaredy folk!
I know...

Back to the point of this post;
The finished Beastmen.

Got the better half to take some proper pictures of 'em today, damn my squinty eyes. The light was not great today, but she still manages to make me look like a blind man with a camera!
Here they are.

First up, the Chieftain, Baska Bloodhorn and his Shaman

The two Bestigors

A (much better!) picture of the Centigor, Kuthbert Cowfoot

The Minotaur and one of the Chaos Hounds

The other two Hounds

The three Ungors, the cannon-fodder and slaves of the band

Two Gors, armed with swords and shields

More Gors, including Baboon and Warthog

Lastly, the final three Gors

I hope you like them.
Pil did a great job with the painting, and I think the bases compliment them nicely.
Trying to keep the same colours as my other warbands, while incorperating the 'forest floor' look. I will probably add a few leaves in future, whenever I get around to the next lot of basing, that is....

Great job Mason, I think your basing really brought these figures to life and it compliments them wonderfully!

Great job on those bases mason, love the large pieces of rock and the big foliage. They certainly complete the great look of the warband.  ;) ;) ;)

Looking good, mate. The fact that you've used old minis works a treat ;). SO much more character than the current crop (the current Warhammer range of plastics is okay, but everyone ends up with the same looking force). And that chaos hound with the scorpion tail is an absolute design classic! :-* Gives me ideas for whenever I get around to my Warriors of Chaos WHFB army (could be a hefty dose of 'if' in that equation...).

I do like GW's placcy chaos warhounds though, as they are pretty versatile - they can serve either as chaos warhounds or dire wolves*; painted right, you could also get away with them as Empire war hounds (I'm thinking Alsatian style beasts).

I digress - fab warband, mate, and hopefully the subject of a game or two over Easter! I think a match up against the undead could be rather spiffing.

Bert
*For fans of the English Premier League football, I am not refering to the denizens of Molineux - although Wolves truly are dire this season (and this from a Chelsea fan! lol)

The Bestigors are amongst my favourites too.

I much prefer the older Citadel models.
So much more character in each sculpt.

OK, Bertie, I had taken the hint earlier, but one would have to be an imbecile to not notice now!

Lastly, and most importantly, Thanks Pil!
I am glad that you approve.
You did a great job on these boys, for which I am very grateful.
If only they performed as well as they look......

Mate, you ALWAYS think I am making a point about haranguing you into playing when I make these comments - I'm really not! It honestly was a casual comment speculating on future games. I shall choose my words more carefully in future to sound less hectoring!
 ;)

I know, mate, I know...
You just keep 'hectoring' on, you cant help it.
 :)

Have just sorted out the arrangements for Easter, so that is most certainly on.
I may even finished that damn khazi that you gave me for then.
We could make it an objective of some sort.
You have the 'Bog Stealers' after all..... ::)
Ok, coat is being fetched...
