Looking good Mason!

Does this mean a game or two of Mordheim is imminent? ;D

I thought that was the plan already... :D

Good start, Paul :)

Thanks, mate.
It aint much, but it is a start.
Hope to do a little more over the weekend.

Great start, just bit worried that you don't seem to include the cellar into this build... where are the Witch Hunters going to do all the stuff that Spanish Inquisition did á la Monty Python? ;)

I will just have to consider that the cellar is there, you just wont see it.
If you met the group that I usually play Mordheim with, you would realise that they make the Python Inquisition look sophisticated!

You leave the rest of them out of this...

 lol lol lol
I shall tell 'em you said that!

Just to prove that I have not been completely idle, here are a few pics of the Tower and ground floor of the Watch House after having received an undercoat...

Not exactly pretty but it is coming together nicely, albeit slowly.
The scoring of the foam to create the brickwork is a little more obvious in these pics, along with the green stuff stones that were added for a little variety in depth.
A couple of bits of leftover tiling sheet and some wallpaper scraps will add some texture to the base.

Not I just need to get it painted up....

While it might now be in the loveliest of stages, the base coat shows off all the nice work you put in on the stonework WONDERFULLY. LOOKIN' GOOD!

Witchhunter Captain Lothar Rothmanns...

 lol lol
That name always cracks me up.
Get to it, man!

Thanks, Al!
I guess, now that the tedious stoneworking stage is over, I can have a bit of fun slapping some paint about.

Looks good mason. Those stones look good, I am glad I didn't use any small pebbles, or they could float... Then the charter would get into trouble. Will you have a duck in a basket by any chance?

I understand the time constraints of a realistic build, what with life and all ;)

Cheers Matt.

Looking very good so far!........

My Witchhunters might have to get dug out of the minis archive (ie the attic) at some point!

A duck in a basket.
There are a few things that can be done to show it is a WH chapter house, but whatever does get used will have to be removable as I want to be able to use it in other genres too, not just Mordheim.

A duck, you say...

Bet the building gets finished before your fellas get out of the attic!
 :D

The building has received the base coat of Krappefortt sandstone and now awaits a few more colours and details before I can move on to the next floor.

The proof:

Getting there....

Yes Paul, a duck. We all know that ducks, small pebbles, wood and witches float. ;)  lol

That sandstone looks smashing. You have been having fun!

Cheers, Matt

I am familiar with the 'floating' thing, Matt, but for some reason the whole Duck thing had slipped my mind.
Must be the weather.
 ::)

I have a plan of how to portray the whole Witch Hunter/Sigmar thing, utilising small scenery pieces that can be used as desired, leaving the bulding non-specific and thus usable in other situations.

The sandstone looks great mate, even at this stage  8)

Is it just drybrushing or is there some other technique that you use?

cheers

lol sounds like a plan. You could have a market cart, selling false noses and newts, which could be removable :D So many possibilities. Even a huge balsa weighing machine attachable to the roof... sorry, ... I get carried away at times.

Coming on very nicely. I can't believe that you have any room left on your gaming table for all these fabulous buildings.
