Not finished my witch hunter captain's gaff yet Mason? Well, that's not good enough! Just what sort of Mason are you, anyhow? I dunno, you faux-medievil builder types are all the same - look at a job, suck in yer cheeks, mutter 'It's gonna cost ya - lime render ain't cheap, gonna need a few gold coins up front...' then go and set about enjoying yaself drinking tea, wolf whistling at passing maidens and leaving me stronghold topless!

 ;D

We all can't wait to see the finished job, mate. 8)

 lol lol

Ya nutter!
I shall not be leaving 'your' stronghold topless.

I have finished making the next level, jusy have not taken any piccies.... ::)
I will take one later, before I start painting it.

One other thing: If it is going  to be 'your' stronghold....
You had better start painting your bloody Witch Hunters then, hadn't you?

There are at least two other bands laying claim to 'ownership'.

Wait a minute...I can see a scenario in this... :D

Some progress pics of the next level.

They may help give an idea of where I am going with this.
 ;)

As you can see, it is a basic foam shape with carboard tiles added and drinking straws and green stuff to create the topmost part of this roofing section.

Now to get some paint slapped on the bugger...

LOOKIN' GOOD! AND a perfect spot for that Helipad; or a nice pot of boiling oil for the News Boy's collection day or the next  Jehovah's Witness visit...or not.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Cheers, mate!

I have a feeling that this is going to become known as the helipad soon.
Damn you, Kitsune!
 >:(

Whatever it ends up being called, this section is almost finished.
Proof of that will surface tommorrow...

Actually, a slate roof, a stake, & some firewood are all that's needed for an out door Old Lady Burning & BBQ site...hopefully not combining the two functions into a single fire/event.

DeafNala, I should think they would be one event most frequently, but I could also imagine a BBQ party with a large inflatable swimming pool on the roof. Perfect for those daring jumps from the tower into the pool below.  lol

Paul, that looks really good. I like your take on the half timbered house using the foam and recessing the balsa. It even gives the plaster texture! Very crafty.

You are right, mate, those spikes may not be Bullock-Proof!
As for the gyrocopter: Dont be silly!

It is NOT a Barbie playhouse!

Thanks, Matt!
It works for me, adding a little texture, but also easy and cheap.

This section will be finished over the weekend and I will pop a piccie up when it is done.

Here is what it looked like just before the Wimbledon Mens final started.
(What a match! I have been trying to sort out this post in the breaks.....)

I have noticed quite a few mistakes, which will be rectified (by that I mean hidden  ::)) later.

Note: Do NOT use coloured card to make roof tiles as you cannot see the mistakes very easily.
 ;)

This level is not finished, I need to add some weathering and mosses etc, which will be done when the last level is in place so that I can match the colours etc...
