they look great as they are, but have You thought about inking over with very dilluted washes over some singular ones of them? just a slightly bit of shift in the tone?

They look fantastic,Paul!
Lovely pieces with fantastic paint jobs!
The additions on the intact piece really make it something special

Well that works. Perhaps next time you could do a two tiered effect with a little path running down?  ;D

Cheers

With a shrubbery?

The broken road is particularly effective.

That IS something that I would normally do, but this time I did a slight wash on some of the stones before the final drybrush instead.
There is some tonal variation in there that may not be so apparent under the glare of the lighting.
Picking one or two stones out with a further wash may still be done, though.
 ;)

Thanks, Steve.
Those little touches do help and it is much easier to store this way.
(Which I shall do today, as the Missus is giving them the 'look' that means they should be put away out of sight soon.... ::))

Cheers, Lon.
Much appreciated.

I am pretty happy with how that came out and am sorely tempted to make more.

Cheers, mate.
I think they lend themselves well to a formal garden or pathway, dont you?

Tell me about it, mate.

My photography skills are not good enough but ARE significantly better than they used to be.
Trial and error is a great teacher, I find.

Superb! I envy you  :'( I'm a player of Mordheim too, but I never did work on ruins and other scenery, I painted more than one hundred of miniatures for Mordheim but I'm lacking on scenery  :( Only now I've painted some houses for a village, for now I play using "empire of flames" rules so I don't need a town in ruins.

You really do need to make some ruins to get the most from Mordheim.
A really cramped and confined table, with as many 'levels' as possible really brings out the flavour of the setting.
You are missing out on a whole lot of fun, especially if you have not experienced a 'Diving Charge!'

The cobbles do look great Paul - will definitely be troubling you for some of those in future! And what does a sheet retail at?

I shall be putting the Paved Road sections up for sale in a couple of weeks.

I have just added them to my Sales thread in the Bazaar, along with castings of my green stuff fumblings...
