Question number one
« on: 03 July 2011, 02:30:41 PM »
This is for those of you who, like me, use /285th, 1/300th, 1600th, 1900th, and "6 mm" scale/size figures with games and each AFV/Fire Team/Weapon is individually deployed (No group bases like Baccus' Command Horizon.)

Do you base them on stands or just place the figure on the game surface "just as it came" after assembling/painting?

I use Litko predominately or Ren Ink bases for my 25+ mm figures and am thinking about basing my Dirtside 2 and future FWC forces on bases (currently only the infantry are based, on bingo chips.)

Gracias,

Glenn

I have some 1:600 stuff painted and based, a modern US Combined Arms BN, a modern Iranian Armored Bde, and have the beginings of an Israeli unit for '73.   I did indeed base them, mostly on platoon bases with 1 model to one TOE vehicle on the base:

Israeli armor BN:

Iranian BDE:  (note, the dismounted infantry were not done for this photo but have been done since, and the Arty is now on bigger bases too)

US CAB:

Nice Cap.

Crossed sabres--Cav perhaps??!!   :o  :D

I actually had a similar question about it.  I procured some 6mm stuff and they weren't based and I was wondering if they should or not.
