Battle report, the raid on the farm Mckinly
« on: 15 July 2011, 07:45:18 PM »
Hi, here's the first battle set in my fictional setting of Mbuij Mayi.

Are the colonists saved or killed?

For the full battle report go to

Very nice, simple and short and complete.  Sepia is cool, color would be curious, too.

They are for that sole reason I decided to make them look as old photographs!  lol

Is it possible for the moderator to put this topic in the VSF section as more battle reports will follow containing not so historical figures and units?

Greets and thanks in advance!

I will leave it here and not relocate it on the assumption that it will take on a more VSF feel for the reports to come. :)

We, of course, love the antiqued views, but the lead painters and terrain builders will not be denied!  lol

Always lead off with a sepia mood image, but promise the lads color piccies to follow.

I know you put a lot of work into making the picture 'cards'. I, for one, REALLY appreciate same.

Small suggestion: If you like playing with image software, give a thought to trying to mitigate the shadows around the terrain pieces and the difference in tone between fig bases and ground. More work than I'd do, but you obviously love this stuff!

Edit: And, yes, looking forward to this getting properly, for this board, 'weird'.  :D
